Clean up continued Sunday at the Oak Glen Nature Preserve in Colerain Township. Crews reported that they had removed 31,600 gallons of crude oil and water from an acre of marsh as of 8 a.m. Sunday.

About 21,000 gallons of crude leaked from the Mid Valley Pipeline March 18. The pipeline runs from Hebron, Kentucky to Lima, Ohio.  There was a four inch gash in the pipe, and it has since been shut down.

The leak was within about 500 feet of the Great Miami River, but no contamination was spotted in the river.

Sunoco Logistics operates the pipeline. It mobilized an Incident Management Team to support clean-up.
