Golden Alert: Elderly Boone County Man Missing Has Been Found

(Verona, KY) The Boone County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the case of an elderly man who went missing (Golden Alert) from his daughter’s home in Verona, Kentucky sometime between 11:00 p.m. Tuesday and 2:15 a.m. Wednesday.  


Sedric Scott, 84 of Verona is described as a white male, 5’ 11”, 160 pounds, believed to be wearing green pajama pants, a green shirt (Web Contracting) on the back of the shirt and slide on shoes.  Scott is believed to be driving a 2003 Jeep Liberty beige in color bearing Kentucky license, 862CJY.


Scott, who suffers from dementia, has a farm on Moon Road in Williamstown, Kentucky, used to live on Dublin in Union, Kentucky.  Both of those locations have been checked to no avail. Anyone who sees the Jeep Liberty or comes in contact with Scott is asked to notify 911 immediately.


Police said that Scott was found safe in Cincinnati around 8 this morning.
