(Cincinnati, Oh.)--Embattled Judge Tracie Hunter was reprimanded Friday, by Appeals Court Judge, Sylvia Hendon, for Hunter’s handling of a 2012 custody case.

The appeals court condemned Hunter for waiting several months to make a decision in the case where two children were taken from their mother and placed in the custody of family services. The mother objected to the decision, and Hunter had 60 days to make a judgment, but waited 11 months. The Hamilton County Juvenile Court Judge finally ruled the children should remain in custody of family services.

The appeals court Friday, sent the case back to juvenile court for reconsideration.

In January, Hunter, was suspended by the Ohio Supreme Court after she was indicted on nine felony charges including tampering with evidence, forgery and theft in office. She has pled not guilty to the charges. No trial date has been set.
