(Over-the-Rhine) -- The laser and music show called Lumenocity was popular last summer, with thousands of people crowding onto the lawn at Washington Park, to watch lights projected onto the façade of Music Hall.  And when organizers announced another three nights of shows this year, tickets went fast.

And some of the free tickets ended up for sale, online.  That raised questions about how to allow more people to view the event.  Washington Park can only hold so many people.

About 35,000 caught the performances in 2013, and there were 37,500 tickets available, total, for the three nights planned this year.  But, the president of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra says there are now more options to see the show.  Trey Devey says they have made 5,000 tickets available for the July 31st dress rehearsal, and have released another 3,000 for the August 1-3 performances.

All of those tickets will be handed out through an online lottery system.  WInners will be announced July 21st, but the tickets can't be printed out until July 30th.

Devey says in addition, the August 3rd show will be simulcast on the big screens at Fountain Square and at Riverbend.  Both viewings are free.

All three shows will be streamed, live, at  And the August 2nd program will be carried live on public television.
