A two and half hour police standoff Saturday, with a Hamilton man armed with a crossbow, ended with his surrender.
Hamilton Police were called to the home in the 1700 Kahn Avenue, around 7 p.m. Saturday, on the report of a suicidal person armed with a crossbow.
The Hamilton/Fairfield SWAT team, patrol officers surround the home after the suspect lifted his weapon toward officers several times threatening to kill anyone who entered the house.
One female family member was able to escape the house out a second story window.
The suspect was taken into custody around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, when he surrendered peacefully. An investigation is ongoing, no charges have yet been filed.
