(Cincinnati) -- Judge Robert Winkler heard from prosecutors and defense attorneys about the case against demonstrators who are accused of breaking into a Downtown office building, last March. Nine Greenpeace activists are charged with burglary and vandalism charges after unfurling protest banners off the side of Proctor and Gamble buildings, March Fourth.  Winkler recently rejected defense arguments that the protesters were exercising their free speech rights.

Prosecutors maintain that the activists committed crimes and caused damage. Greenpeace was protesting the company's use of palm oil, linking it to rainforest destruction. P and G has since revised its supply policy.

It appears only one of the nine is willing to take a plea deal to avoid jail time.

A trial date has not been announced.
