(Hebron) - DHL has announced the result of a four year $105 million expansion of their global shipping hub at Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky Airport. It one of only three in the world, the others in Germany and Hong Kong.
The largest logistics company in the world stated that this expansion will meet the ever growing shipping needs of P&G, GE Aviation, Luxottica, and other small companies as well. The project also hopes to expand business to Asia and Australia.
Since the project started in 2009 staffing at CVG has gone from 1,600 workers to now over 2,000.
To mark the occasion, a Boeing 767 performed a low altitude flyby over the ribbon cutting ceremony.
And, eventually, the plane landed, to deliver the ceremonial scissors, to cut the ribbon.
