(Batavia, OH)--The Batavia Highway Patrol Post, with assistance from the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office, the Ohio Department of Transportation, and the Pierce Township Police Department conducted an OVI checkpoint on SR 125 in Pierce Township, Clermont County on August 25, 2017 from 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
A total of 733 vehicles were checked with three drivers being diverted and administered field sobriety testing. All three of those drivers were determined to have consumed alcohol, but were not impaired.
Federal grant money supported the OVI checkpoint and saturation patrols.
