FC Cincinnati Asking for Major Amendment to Plans for Soccer Complex

The plans are being revised again for FC Cincinnati's stadium complex in the West End.

The soccer club goes before Cincinnati's Planning Commission today asking for approval of construction of a six story , 850 car parking garage just north of where their new stadium is going up. The proposed site is along Wade street between John and Central Avenue(shown in design map below.)

If approved the addition will add two more acres to the stadium complex's footprint in the West End. It will also require a zoning change for the property which is now zoned for multi family homes.

The soccer club has acquired the land for the new garage but Hamilton County will pay the $27 million dollar cost of construction. FC Cincinnati gets most of the revenues from parking in the garage on game days while the County gets the parking money the rest of the year.
