(Oxford, OH) - Butler County health officials announced on February 2nd that the 2 Miami University students who visited China last month did not contract Coronavirus.
Respiratory and blood samples were sent to the Centers for Disease Control to be tested. The tests came back negative and the announcement came in on Sunday evening.
The students that were tested were isolated January 25th after they reported flu-like symptoms after their trip to China. Officials reported that the students have been released from isolation and they're doing well.
The United States has confirmed 9 cases of the disease and 17,205 confirmed cases in China.
There are still no confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the Tristate or in the state of Ohio
