( West Price Hill ) - Dealing with a gas leak.

A statement Monday from the City of Cincinnati says people in West Price Hill started noticing a smell on Christmas Eve. First responders figured out that an underground tanker at a gas station on West 8th and Pedretti was the source of the problem.

The city says hundreds of gallons of fuel leaked into the sewer and fumes have been getting into people's homes. People who live on West 8th, Carnation Ave, Cappel Dr, and Hermosa Ave are being told they should limit use of flames indoors, run water into their basement floor drains to reduce the odor, and crack windows if they have to.

Cleanup crews are working on the problem.
