Ohio River Flooding the TriState

The Ohio River is above flood stage downtown. The steps to the serpentine wall are completely covered as the river spills over into the park.

It will crest at about 4 feet over flood stage tomorrow morning and high water is closing roads in many low lying areas.

After hitting 56 feet tomorrow---the river is expected to fall quickly over the weekend.

Cincinnati Police are asking people to stay out of the flooded neighborhoods of the city such as California and the East End. They say people may be evacuating and additional traffic for sightseeing will hamper those efforts.

Police say that you can expect to see additional patrols in those areas.

Belterra Park Racino near Old Coney has been forced to close because of high water cutting off access to their parking lot.

The photos below from Cincinnati Police show the flooding at various spots around the city.
