Covid Vaccine Eligibility in Ohio Growing this Week

( Cleveland, Ohio ) - With news about vaccine from Johnson & Johnson becoming more available, Gov Mike DeWine on Tuesday announced another expansion of coronavirus vaccine eligibility. Speaking in Cleveland at the site of a mass vaccination clinic at Cleveland State University's Wolstein Center, DeWine said that by the end of March, everyone in the state 16 and older will be eligible to be vaccinated.

Gov DeWine said first, as of this Friday, anyone 40 and older in ohio is eligible, along with people who have specific medical conditions like COPD, obesity, and more.

Then on March 29, anyone 16 and older can sign up for vaccination. DeWine says he expects to go from about 400,000 shots per day to 500,000 shots per day once major shipments of the J&J vaccine start picking up by the end of the month.
