Peter King on Dalton and Bengals
AP: List of most NFL head coaching playoff losses
Gruden a perfect fit for Titans
Fox 17 Nashville
Jay Gruden should be at the top of the list for every team which has a young quarterback who needs developing or could be in a position to draft a young quarterback. Andy Dalton is not considered a stellar talent. He is a pocket passer who has worked in front of an average running game and just one elite wideout since being drafted. Yet the Bengals have reached the playoffs in each of Gruden's three seasons calling plays. While defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer has also been a big part of their success (and will be highly sought after too), Gruden's ability to do more with less has been proven.
A Lesson From Lefty?
Mickelson would have been the perfect person to address the Bengals after their third straight one-and-done trip to the postseason.
Remember when he was golf’s Marvin Lewis – the guy who could win PGA tournaments but always came up short in major championships?
Redskins request to interview Gruden and Zimmer
It is not clear if Gruden and Zimmer have agreed to interview with the Redskins and, if so, when the interviews will occur.
*Maddening to watch Jay go away from things that work, to find out what else might work.
*It's easier to replace an OC than the starting QB.
*Dalton had 138 yards passing in 2nd quarter.
*Bengals allowed 80 rushing yards in 1st half and 116 rushing yards in 2nd half.
*Bengals outscored opponents 72-0 in 2nd quarter of last five games.
*Bengals scored 10 unanswered to lead 10-7 at half...with big FG to end H...players fired up coming off field....ball to begin 3rd QT...and then....that.
*Bengals have been outscored 44-6 in 2nd half last 3 playoff games: '11 Houston 14-0, '12 10-6 Houston, '13 20-0 San Diego.
*BJGE: 6 carries for 27 yards 1st half, 2 carries for 15 yards in 2nd half.
*From listener Jeff: BGE had his best game of the year in regular season against SD, carrying 20 times for 92 yards. Yesterday, he ran the ball on the first 2 plays of the 2nd half gaining 15 yards, which gave him 42 yards on 8 carries for the game. He did not get another carry.
Draft: Bengals will select 24th. They have selected 24th on two other occasions:

1976: Archie Griffin
NFL: 2014 schedules
Home: Jaguars, Titans, Broncos, Falcons, Panthers
Road: Texans, Colts, Patriots, Saints, Bucanners.

Bengals did not run the ball enough

"I don't care if it's a passing league or not, like I've said since the beginning of time, when the playoffs start, championship teams are built off running the football and stopping the run," Green-Ellis said. "Those things you've got to do. I don't care if they keep changing the rules or if they keep becoming a passing league.
"That's playoff football."
