From a listener:
Since the All-Star break last year:
Phillips: .256/.291/.361/.652 385 PA's
Cozart: .246/.281/.355/.636 324 PA's
Production from 3rd spot
In 25 games (Votto 10, BP 15), Reds have 3 RBI's from their 3 hole batters, fewest in MLB. Reds 3 hole batters have not dirven in a baserunner with a hit all season.
The 3 RBI's were a Votto SF, Votto solo HR, Phillips FC.
By comparison the White Sox have 32 RBI's from the 3 hole, the Marlins have 29.

29-year old Scott Carroll, a 3rd round pick of the Reds in 2007, made his ML debut Sunday and got the win for the White Sox. Carroll spent six years in the Reds system, getting as high as Louisville. He had hip surgery in 2009 and Tommy John surgery in the 2012 offseason. He had 35 family members/friends in the stands Sunday. His mom was in tears as he walked off the mound to a standing ovation. Sox broadcaster Hawk Harrelson stood and applauded.
Carroll told 87.7 FM in Chicago that teammate Adam Dunn picked up the post-game dinner tab for his 35 family/friends y at Timmy O'Toole's Pub.

Thanks to Champions Windows for inviting me out on Sunday.
I was there from noon-2pm, meeting and greeting, talking Reds, giving away Reds tickets and other prizes. We even had Papa John's for everyone!
I really enjoy working with Sherry Rowland and the entire Champion crew.
Great people! Great company! There is a reason we are a Champion home!
Thanks to everyone that stopped by!
