Diaz, Dennick lynchpins in Bats bullpen
Called Jumbo due to his hefty frame, Diaz has feasted on the ninth inning all season long, missing out on just one save opportunity, thanks to an imposing 1.35 ERA and a 3-to-1 K/BB ratio. Diaz had a trio of saves during a recent Bats' five-game winning streak, twice slamming the door to give Louisville one run victories.

Happy Bone Marrow Anniversary!
11 years ago today a stranger donated her bone marrow and saved Casey's life.
He's now 14 and will attend Simon Kenton High School next year.
Every anniversary I read the columns that Paul Daugherty wrote about Casey:
Every day is a victory for Casey McAlister

Take that critics: Hamilton gives Reds legit long-term CF
The Reds ultimately lost, but the game captured Hamilton in a nutshell. Early in the season, all the talk was about how Hamilton was embarrassing himself at the plate against big-league competition. Some points were arrived at too hastily. Some points were overlooked entirely.
HERE are notes and stats from Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Pirates.
Check out the video of Billy Hamilton's catch. Wow!
This is fantastic
