Cincinnati State's Tom Hathaway has been named the 2013-14 Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) Athletic Director of the Year.
Hathaway, in his second year at Cincinnati State, led the Surge athletic program to a very successful year. The men's soccer team, the men's and women's basketball teams, and the men's golf team all won district championships and advanced to the national tournament, while the department introduced women's volleyball as a sport. The women's soccer team also came within one win of a district championship, and the men's soccer and men's basketball teams each captured conference championships.
Academically, Cincinnati State had six student-athletes receive academic honors from the NJCAA, the men's golf team was named an NJCAA All-Academic Team, and 20 student-athletes were named to the All-OCCAC Academic Team.

(LATROBE, Pa.) - The Thomas More College football team was picked first in the 2014 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) preseason poll released today (Wednesday, August 6, 2014) at the 2014 PAC Football Media Day held at the Sis and Herman Dupre Science Pavilion on the campus of Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.
The Saints led by eighth-year head coach Jim Hilvert garnered 29 first-place votes and a total of 367 points to headline this year's preseason poll. Washington & Jefferson College was second with two first-place votes and 330 points, followed by Waynesburg University in third place with one first-place vote and 293 points.

The 2014 season will mark the 25th year of football at Thomas More College. The Saints are second among winningest NCAA Division III football team that have sponsored the sport for 20 years with a .7044 winning percentage (174-73). Thomas More only trails St. John's (Minn.) University, who has a .7049 winning percentage (590-240-24).
The Saints open the 20134 season on September 6 when they travel to Dover, Delaware to play fifth-ranked Wesley at 1 p.m. at Scott D. Miller Stadium.
