Cool book
Can you imagine growing up in Cincinnati and then playing for the Reds? That was my dream growing up in Anderson Township. Joe Heffront and Jack Heffron have written 'The Local Boys', a book profiling the 105 sons of Cincinnati who played for the Cincinnati Reds. They will join me in-studio tonight from 8-8:30. Afterwards, I'd like to hear your stories about playing against any of these players growing up.

Notes and observations from their 4-0 win over the Pirates.

The Cincinnati Cyclones open the ECHL playoffs in Orlando tonight.

(Getty Images)'s Coley Harvey writes Andy Dalton is a QB at the crossroads:
If he keeps playing like he has so far in his three-year career -- good, but occasionally bad in the regular season and overwhelmingly awful in the postseason -- then he'll continue being regarded as so-so quarterback who never really hit his stride, nor turned into an easily identifiable bust. He'd continue to be average -- a lukewarm signal-caller on a team with white-hot talent.

Geoff Hobson,, writes about the Bengals success in the 2nd round of the draft: Maybe Bengals fans shouldn’t be so jacked about that first round of the NFL Draft on May 8. Just maybe it’s that amazing second round on May 9 that should hold their attention. Count with me now. The franchise’s all-time leading rushing, Corey Dillon. The franchise’s all-time leading receiver, Chad Johnson. The Bengals last NFL MVP, quarterback Boomer Esiason. The only quarterback to lead the Bengals to three straight playoffs, Andy Dalton.

Dragons rolling
Dayton, Ohio—Sebastian Elizalde’s sacrifice fly to deep center field brought in Jeff Gelalich from third base with the winning run in the 11th inning as the Dayton Dragons came from behind to defeat the Clinton Lumber Kings 3-2 on Wednesday night.  The Dragons won their seventh straight game and completed a sweep of the three-game set with Clinton.
The Dragons 9-3 start to the season is the club’s second best record after 12 games in franchise history.  The 2007 Dragons, featuring Chris Heisey, Drew Stubbs, Chris Valaika, and Juan Francisco among others, opened the year by going 10-2. More...
