Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips had a couple of hits yesterday including a first inning home run.  His batting average is low but he now has 5 homer runs.

WIth Jack Hanahan on the disabled list, Neftali Soto has all but made this 2014 Reds team.  He has power but he's also struckout over 100 times each of the last two years at AAA Louisville.

 Cueto to Start Opener??

Well Bryan Price hasn't announced that yet but Cueto is right on track to do so.  He threw 89 pitches in a minor league game yesterday..5+ip, 7h, 6r, 11k, 1bb. According to Jeff Brantley he threw the ball very well.  There's a good chance Bryan Price will set his pitching rotation sometime today.
