I'll be at St. Pius X Summer Festival tonight at 6pm!  You can find me beating the heat in the dunking booth!  Bikini or wet t-shirt?!  I can't decide.  Either way, it will be hot.  Of course, with this weather, everything is hot!  In fact, I never thought I'd be so happy making a public appearance in a dunking booth.  With my luck, in weather like this, I usually agree to something ridiculously hot like working the grill.  Not this time though!  I lucked out!  Come out and see me.  St. Pius X is in Edgewood, KY on Dudley Road.  It's a great festival.  Tons of kids rides, beer, charitable gaming, and, well, me!

Lots more going on but it seems like all anyone can talk about it the weather.  The Reds have two more games before the All-Star break (see, I'm trying to pay attention to sports)!  They went on a skid for a bit but won yesterday.  Our starting pitchers have been doing great for a change but now our relief pitchers are falling apart.  Typical Cincinnati sports luck!  Why can't this town ever get a team that fires on all cylinders?!  Look at that, a car analogy while talking sports... I'll get the hang of this guy's stuff yet and then the rest of the boys at this station are in trouble!

World Choir Games are all the buzz too.  I know the WCG have taken a lot of ribbing from other on-air personalities at this station.  OK, so there aren't any actual "games" and it's really not a sport so maybe they shouldn't have called them "games" but grow up boys.  I don't care if Scott Sloan can find a hotel room or not.  I've been downtown and there's people all over the place, speaking all sorts of foreign languages.  That's certainly not normal for this town, so I'm sure we've got a lot of visitors/tourists.  So tease 'em all ya want but any tourism we can bring to the Queen City has to be good for business.  Maybe if they can attract a couple more of these type things, then City Council can forget that stupid property tax increase idea!

OK, I got to go pick out an outfit for the dunking booth!  I'm outta here!  Follow me on Twitter @lisawenzelwells and "Like" my Facebook page,  Hopefully I'll see you tonight at St. Pius X!
