Yeah, this will make travelers feel safe.

This week the TSA fired eight agents in Newark who were caught sleeping on the job. Some of the surveillance photographs actually revealed agents sleeping in front of monitors which help to detect explosives and other restricted items!

The fired TSA agents are expected to appeal their dismissal.

The real story is how the TSA is having a hard time getting their act together. With over 60,000 agents it only takes one acting like an idiot to make the entire group look bad.

As easy as it is to give the TSA agents a hard time, remember that they have more than a million opportunities every day to make a mistake. The TSA agents are tasked with a very important job and most of them, the clear majority, do a very good job. It’s the few who continue to give the TSA a black eye.

Those few should be “assisted” in finding employment elsewhere.’
