New for 2013 – Dynamic Pricing
The Reds will become the latest MLB team to implement dynamic pricing for single-game ticket sales. Currently more than half of the 30 MLB teams are utilizing dynamic pricing.
By using advanced computer programming, dynamic pricing makes adjustments based on factors such as day of the week, month, team performance, visiting team’s performance, weather forecast and remaining ticket inventory in specific seating sections.
“After watching and studying industry pricing strategies over the last few years we decided to implement dynamic pricing for the 2013 season,” said Reds COO Phil Castellini.
When single game tickets go on sale March 2, single game prices for 2013 will be at or below 2012 prices for 63% of games in most seating sections.
$5 Outer View Level tickets will be available for 64 of the 81 regular season home games when single game tickets go on sale.
The Reds’ popular season-long ticket offers such as Sunday Family Days, Senior Citizen Specials and 4 for $48 weekend deals will continue in 2013.
The Reds ensure that single-game ticket prices will never be lower than the prices offered to season ticket holders.
“In most cases, fans who buy early will receive the best pricing since ticket prices will generally increase as the game gets closer,” said Castellini. “Season tickets are the ultimate buy-early-and-save opportunity and our season ticket holders will always enjoy the deepest savings available.”
It’s not too late to lock in 2013 ticket plans, which include the Chapman Pick-6 Plan and 10-game Power Pack. Fans also can enjoy the full benefits of being a season ticket holder with the 13-game Baker’s Dozen, 20-game, half and full season ticket packages.

Embarrassing season drags on for West Virginia
Bob Hertzel, The Exponent Telegram
You don’t win basketball games shooting 30.2 percent. You don’t win basketball games with seven assists and 17 turnovers. You don’t win basketball games playing the second half like you’d rather be off skiing somewhere.
Put bluntly, this basketball team has become an embarrassment.
That is a strong statement, yet it is one they admit to, right from the coach on down.
“I’ve been embarrassed since the first game,” Huggins admitted, thinking back to a 34-point loss at Gonzaga that included 20 turnovers. “I don’t get beat like that. My guys played so hard, competed so hard we never ever got beat like that … ever.”

Don't call the Daytona 500 boring
ESPN
don't tell him the Daytona 500 was boring.
Many of you did. Social media was full of complaints, calling the Great American Race won by Jimmie Johnson a "snore." One of you said it was the "WORST race in years."
Even some of the drivers complained during much of the first 140 laps, which saw a train of cars running around the top lane. At one point under caution Clint Bowyer said on a live radio interview, "I'm a fan of this sport just like the people in the stands. I want to see some action."

Thoughts of the day:
1. Why do fans eliminate discussion of getting better/coaching better and go right to firing as their answer? It just seems kind of lazy.
2. At the same time, the statute of limitations has expired on what Mick inherited.
You can't keep dragging the program back to that point in arguments. Mick was hired March 23, 2006, that was six years, 11 months and one day from Sunday...a total of 2,530 days ago.

Boxscore
Fewest points since January 23, 1993 in a 40-38 win over UAB.....a span of 677 games. UC has dropped 3-row, 5 of 6 and is 7-9 since December 27.

Kilpatrick: 3 of 13, 6 points in 37 minutes.
UC has gone from 8th in the country to tied for 10th in their own conference.
Mick post-game, on WEBN:
"We gave up 62 points guys. This isn't rocket science, you can't win if you can't put the ball in the basket."
"you can't be that poor and inept around the rim"-
"Cash, in the minutes he played, a head scratcher, I don't know what to say."
"Our 5 men (center) had zero deflections, 0 blocks and 0 points. We don't ask them to do a whole lot."
"I thought the game was unfairly officiated, and that is all I'll say on that."
"I didn't think it was real fair today. But we didn't play well.

Ken Rosenthal, Fox Sports
Most players, upon learning they’ve been traded, exchange a few words with club officials, then hang up the phone and go on their way. Choo, on the other hand, sent Antonetti a moving letter — a letter that he was willing to share with FOXSports.com as long as Antonetti approved, which he did.
Choo, a native of Pusan, South Korea, wrote his letter in English.
