The race starts at Sawyer Point.
(Cincinnati)-The 9th Annual Hunger Walk and 5K Run kicks off at 9am Monday at Sawyer Point.
The event provides more than 315 non-profit agencies with the opportunity to raise money to supplement their food operations. The Freestore Foodbank sponsors the run and expects about 5,000 people will take part.
The cost to register before the race is $25 and includes a T-Shirt. The Freestore Foodbank says one registration fee will provide about 83 meals to a local service agency.
The race starts near the Purple People Bridge at Sawyer Point.
