Police say homeless man took taxi to bank

( Aurora ) ** Update 8-22-12, 4:30pm ** 47-year-old Steven Clark has been arrested and charged with robbing the Merchant's Bank on August 17. Police say Clark had been staying at a homeless shelter in Cincinnati and took a taxi to the bank and took the same taxi back to Cincinnati following the robbery.

Clark was on his way to Reno, Nevada on a bus when he was arrested at a stop in Louisville for possession of cocaine. He is being held at the Louisville Metro Department of Correction.

Police are hoping surveillance video can help capture a man who robbed the Merchant's Bank on Green Boulevard on Friday morning. At that time, a man came into the bank and demanded cash from the teller. He fled in an unknown direction.

The suspect is a white man, 30 to 50 years old, about 6'3", with a heavy build, dark hair and facial hair. Anyone with information is asked to call (812) 926-1101.
