Oswalt beats Reds again

Astros win 4-1











Roy Oswalt beat Cincinnati yet again, limiting the Reds to five hits in seven innings in the Astros' 4-1 victory Wednesday night. Oswalt is now 12-9 on the season, striking out three and allowed only four baserunners in his last five innings. Oswalt improves to 22-1 careerwise against the Reds. Jose Valverde notched his 34th save.


Hunter Pence and Ty Wigginton each hit two-run homer to help Oswalt's pitching effort. Pence homered off Reds starter and loser Josh Fogg, who falls to 2-7 on the season. Wigginton homered in the seventh inning off reliever Gary Majewski.    


The Reds and Astros wind up their series with an afternoon game Thursday. Aaron Harang will be opposed by Brandon Backe. Gametime is 2:05pm. Coverage begins at 1:05pm with the Dodge Prime Time Edition of the Inside Pitch on 700 WLW.
