( Cincinnati ) 80-year-old Dick Wesp has become the second person in Hamilton County to die from the West Nile virus this year. Wesp was a music teacher at Anderson High School for 57 years. He retired in 2011 and well known in the community. Funeral arrangements are pending.
So far this year, Ohio has recorded 79 cases of West Nile virus and 1,172 positive mosquito samples. This year is the worst outbreak since 2002, when more than 30 people in Ohio died from the virus.
