( Columbia Township ) The Hamilton County Prosecutor has announced charges against the driver of a car that struck and killed Collin Barton on March 18.

Barton had been walking home from a party when he was struck by a car in the 8600 block of Wooster Pike. Investigators say Adam Horvath had fallen asleep and drove off the right side of the road when he struck Barton.

Horvath has been charged with vehicular manslaughter while committing a traffic violation (failure to drive in marked lanes). Horvath faces up to 90 days in jail, a $750 fine and a license suspension if convicted.
