( Mt. Lookout ) A home in the 700 block of Delta Avenue suffered heavy damage on Saturday afternoon when it caught fire at about 3:30pm. Arriving crews found that one dog escaped from the burning home by jumping out of a window, but a second dog was found dead inside. The family was not home at the time of the fire.

Delta Avenue was shut down in the area for several hours. The house suffered heavy damage. The cause is under investigation.
