( Walton, KY ) With both getting 669 votes on November 6, the flip of a coin will determine whether Robert McDonald or Olivia Ballou will Walton's next city council member. 

The race gained national attention when McDonald revealed his wife hadn't voted for him in the race. McDonald blames himself, saying his wife worked overnight and he decided not to wake her up because he never thought it would come down to a single vote. But it did and now it will decided with a coin toss. Even if she wins, Ballou says she is moving and won't be able to sit on council and wants other members to pick McDonald if she is forced to vacate the seat.
