(Mt. Washington)
A Mount Washington family lost their home to fire this weekend. The family called 9.1.1. Saturday just before 6pm saying smoke and flames were shooting out of their chimney at 16-hundred Mears street. The fire had reached the attic and weakened the roof structure forcing firefighters to attack the blaze from the outside. No one was hurt. Fire investigators determined the fire was caused by flammable items placed near a wood burning stove flue. Damage is estimated at 150-thousand dollars.
