(Finneytown) -- Today marks the 33rd anniversary of The Who concert tragedy in Cincinnati. 11 people died trying to get into a concert at Riverfront Coliseum.
3 of the victims were Finneytown High School students and they were remembered over the weekend in a program at the school.
The PEM scholarship fund has been set up in the names of Stephan Preston, Jackie Eckerle and Karen Morrison. This year's event included an emotional video message from the band's Roger Daltrey.
This year the anniversary of the Who concert tragedy coincides with the release of the memoirs of Pete Townsend. The book, Who I Am is 500 pages long and only deals with the tragedy on a page and a half. The website www.crowdsafe.com says it shows his "continuing lack of sincere remorse for Cincinnati or the victims and their families the band left behind."
