( Piner ) ** Update 12-6-12, 12:30pm ** Kenton County Police have identified the two men involved in a fatal crash. The driver, 21-year-old Scott Sears of Demossville was injured and taken to University Hospital. Passenger 27-year-old Timothy Webster Jr of Demossville was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause is under investigation, but evidence indicates Sears was east on Bracht Piner Road at about 2:20am when he went off the right side of the road, overcorrected, and went off the right side, striking a tree. Both men were wearing their seatbelts.

Kenton County Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened Thursday morning in the 600 block of KY Highway 14 at about 3:00am. Investigators say the driver lost control of the car and went off the road and into a ditch. One person was pronounced dead at the scene and another person was taken to the hospital.
