( Knoxville ) Butch Jones is leaving the University of Cincinnati to take over the head football coaching job at Tennessee University. Jones informed his players of his decision on Friday morning and will formally introduced at 2:30pm in Knoxville.

Terms of the deal have not been announced. 

Jones had been courted by nearly a dozen colleges, most recently turning down an offer from the University of Colorado for five years and $13.5 million. The Volunteers have been searching for a head coach since the firing of Derek Dooley.
