( Edgewood ) The Northern Kentucky Health Department has reported the first death from flu complications in the region. The Campbell County man had a variety of underlying medical conditions. Health departments in NKY and Ohio has reported a much higher rate of hospitalizations due to influenza so far this season, compared to last.

So far, 550 total flu cases have been reported in Northern Kentucky this season.
