( Walnut Hills ) An unattended candle is getting the blame for a fire in an apartment on the eighth floor of a ten story building in the 800 block of Beecher. Firefighters went to the apartment at about 2:30pm, after a fire alarm went off.

Crews went to the apartment and found that the sprinkler system had kept the fire mostly contained and spent another 10-15 minutes making sure it was extinguished. The cause is an unattended candle. No one was injured.
