( Warren County ) - Doctors say injuries to a 2-year-old boy from July 2011 left the child in a permanent vegetative state. Police arrested and charged the boy's mother's boyfriend, Jason Milby.

Milby was accused of felonious assault and child endangering, and a mistrial was declared in the case in June 2012. Prosectors decided to refile the charges, and on Thursday, the 30-year-old Milby was found guilty. Judge Robert Peeler sentenced him right away to 8 years in prison, the maximum.
