UPDATE 6:30pm - Westbound 275 has reopened. The Eastbound side opened around 5pm, and I-75 opened around 3:30pm.

( Cincinnati ) Parts of two major Tri-State highways were shut down on Monday afternoon due to multiple crashes. Both occurred just before noon.
The first happened on southbound I-75 just past Middletown and involved several vehicles and a jacknkifed tractor trailer.

The second was westbound I-275 between Hamilton Avenue and Colerain Avenue that shut down the highway between that stretch. Dozens of vehicles are involved in each pile-up.
There are several injuries related to both crashes. There are reports that a 12-year-old girl who was outside was struck and killed, and a 5-year old needed CPR.
