(South Lebanon) A family friend says 12-year-old Sammy Reagan loved to ski and was on her way to Perfect North with her family when they got caught up in Monday's 86-vehicle pile up on 275. Officers say she got out of the car and was standing in the median when she was struck by a snapped cable median barrier. She was taken to Mercy Fairfield Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Sammy was a sixth grader at Columbia Elementary in the Kings Local School District. Spokesperson for the district Lindsay Braud says grief couselors will available for staff and students all week. Braud says Sammy was well-liked and says one of her teachers described her as "a bright light in the classroom." Arrangements for Sammy's funeral are pending.
