( Morgan Township ) Just before 6:30am on Thursday, a passerby discovered a car that had gone off the road on SR 129 just west of Garner Road. Sheriff's deputies arrived to find the car about 80 feet off the roadway, with the body of 18-year-old Nicole Sefton laying in the field.
Investigators say it appears Sefton was driving her Jetta eastbound on SR 129 sometime overnight when she lost control, went off the right side of the road and overturned several times. The exact time and cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Ross High School has released the following statement:
"Nicole Sefton, a 2012 graduate of Ross High School, passed away earlier today as a result of a car accident.
We are deeply saddened to hear of Nikki’s passing. It is always tragic when a young person’s life is cut short. She was highly thought of by her peers and teachers. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her friends and family.” - Principal Brian Martin
