( Newport, Kentucky ) - In the 1600 block of Waterworks road, Dwayne Luttrell was badly injured in the home explosion and passed away Monday morning.

Fire officials have yet to discover the cause of the blast. Duke Energy continues to investigate the explosion and reports that there is no sign of foul play.

His mother, Ida Neal, is still in the hospital with injuries from the explosion.
