( St. Clair Township ) On January 28, Butler County sheriff's deputies went to a home in the 1300 block of Grandview Avenue for the report of a break-in. Deputies found evidence of forced entry and during their investigation, discovered a marijuana growing operation in the basement.

An extended search uncovered what investigators call "an extensive grow room" under construction. 51-year-old Brian Hacker, the owner of the home, had been in jail on unrelated charges in the Butler County Jail, with additional charges expected.
