(West End) -- 30-year-old Lonnie White has been arrested and charged with rape for an attack on a woman on Hopkins Street on January 30. White is being held at the Hamilton County Jail. Court records show he has been arrested several times before for theft, robbery and other charges and was convicted of public indecency in 2010.

Chief James Craig says White was released from a two-year prison term, for robbery, on January 16th.  By the 23rd, he was back in custody for violating terms of his parole.  White was released on the 28th, and on the 29th, is suspected of attempting to sexually assault a woman.  Craig says investigators have DNA evidence that links White to the rape on January 30th. 

Police also suspect White exposed himself in the Downtown TJ Maxx, on February 2nd.
