( West End ) - Traffic on Southbound 75 was shut down around 5pm on Wednesday after a semi truck dumped diesel fuel near Ezzard Charles.

Investigators say the truck's drive shaft broke and punctured the gas tank, emptying up to 75 gallons onto the highway. Multiple vehicles drove through that spill, spreading the fluid across four lanes for about a quarter of a mile.

The cleanup crew arrived on the scene around 8 o'clock, the road opend back up just after 11:30pm.
