( Florence ) A 22-year-old woman has been charged with theft and abuse or neglect of an adult by a caretaker, accused of stealing medication, jewelry and money from people at the Colonial Gardens assisted living facility on Hopeful Road.

Police began investigating after complaints from residents and the administration and used video surveillance to catch Natasha Helton. Investigators say they recorded thefts from December of 2012 through February of this year.
