(Covington, KY) -- A company that decorate bottles for the alcoholic beverage industry will open up a factory in Kenton County, before the end of March. Westpack will employee 63 people, many of whom, the company says, will be hired from the area.
Westpack is a Russian company. They have three plants in Russia, and one in the Czech Republic. This will be their first facility in the United States. Kentucky Lieutenant Governor Jerry Abramson says a large part of their decision was to be close to the bourbon industry.
Sam Popiansky says the cost of doing business in Kentucky was also attractive. He says they want to start operations by the end of March.
The company is accepting resumes at info@west-pack.com.
