(Batavia) They're investing 60 million dollars to purchase the 1.8 million square foot Ford Batavia Transmission plant in Clermont County and 60 acres surrounding the building. Huhtamaki of Finland will then redevelop the facility into a state of the art packaging-distribution center for their paper cups and Chinet brand products. The company is planning to begin construction in the building this year to install production lines. Commercial production is scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter. They plan on hiring about 300 workers.
