( Erlanger ) Police are asking for help from the public to identify a man who stole Girl Scout Cookie money and a possible female accomplice. At about 1:40pm on Saturday, the man and a woman were seen wandering inside the Kroger at 3158 Dixie Highway.

The man eventually followed a woman who had been selling cookies to her car and grabbed her purse from the passenger's seat and ran off. A Kroger employee gave chase, but the thief threw the purse at him and ran off - with the money.

Officers located a hoodie and other items behind some businesses across the street and say the woman who acted as lookout may have picked up the suspect in a car or they may live close to the store.

The man is described as about 6', 160 pounds, possibly Hispanic, wearing a grey hoodie and a surgical mask. Anyone with information can call (859) 727-2424.
