(Brownsville, Texas) Since birth, the baby gorilla was ignored by her mother at South
Texas Zoo.
The baby gorilla will be transported to the Cincinnati Zoo and introduced to its new
gorilla family.
Glady's Porter Zoo in Brownsville will look after the young animal until the baby
gorilla is placed in her new home, Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden.
The new baby gorilla will meet her new family consisting of two adult female gorillas
January 29.
The mother who ignored her baby gorilla was moved Glady's Porter Zoo in 2011.

Since that time, the mother has been a part of Brownsville zoo's species survival
breeding plan on behalf of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
