Over 200 schools delayed the start of classes because of the icy conditions, that made it tough for people to get to work Friday morning.

A truck nearly slid off the 71 overpass above Mason Montgomery road and power lines coated with ice came down on the Brent Spence Bridge causing major backups on the highways.

UPDATE: The Franklin County Sheriff in Indiana has declared a Level 1 Snow Emergency, meaning if you are driving in Franklin County Thursday night, expect hazardous conditions.

( Cincinnati ) A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the Tri-State from 8:00pm Thursday until 10:00am Friday for a winter storm that's currently dumping rain and snow from Texas to Illinois.

Snow, sleet and freezing rain is expected to fall in the Tri-State, with more ice or rain depending on just how cold it gets.

The City of Cincinnati has said most streets already have a protective layer of salt, but crews will focus on area bridges and overpasses. Crews will being working 12 hour shifts starting Thursday night at 7:00pm.
