FAIRFIELD, Ohio (700 WLW) -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the driver that caused a deadly crash on I-75 right before Christmas had a blood alcohol level more than four times the legal limit.
Troopers say Joshua Nkansah, 40, of Fairfield was driving a minivan southbound in the northbound lanes around 2:23 a.m. on Dec. 23. He hit another minivan driven by Michele Barhorst, 31, of Madisonville, Tennessee killing her and her husband Scott. Nkansah and his 7 year old son, David, were also killed in the crash. Five children between the two vehicles were seriously injured.
Lt. Anne Ralston says Nkansah's blood alcohol level was confirmed to be .346.
